Updates

First download the latest version of BusiMate from www.busimate.com or obtain from a CD. Ensure that your copy of BusiMate is in the default location ie on a PC is in the Programs folder and on a MacOS X system in the Applications folder.

Before you start the process, make sure you have an up to date backup of your records stored on a separate CD, floppy disc or in another location, do this using 'Exchange and Backup' from the 'Main Menu' - in case the update process fails due to a power cut or hardware fault.

Run the installer for the new version, this will :-

1) Make an updateable copy of your records

2) Replace any updated BusiMate system files

3) Restore your records from the backup into the updated copy of BusiMate

This will happen in three phases and may take up to ten minutes each time depending on the number of records. The installer will start and stop BusiMate three times, automatically.
